Emergency stop

The emergency stop immediately halts all active Autopilot sessions across all ideas in your workspace.

When to use it

Use emergency stop if:

  • Autopilot is running steps you didn't intend
  • You've updated your idea brief and want to stop before agents use outdated context
  • You're running low on credits and want to pause everything
  • Something unexpected happened in an agent run

How to trigger it

From the Home screen:

  1. Look for the Emergency stop button — it appears in the workspace when any idea is on Autopilot (it's not shown when nothing is running)
  2. Click Stop all (red button)
  3. Confirm in the dialog

From any idea page:

  1. Open the idea
  2. Go to Validate → the Autopilot toggle area
  3. Click Stop (or toggle Autopilot off)

This only stops Autopilot for the specific idea. Use the workspace-level emergency stop to halt everything.

What happens after emergency stop

  1. Any in-progress agent run completes (you can't interrupt a run mid-execution)
  2. No new runs are started
  3. All completed output is queued in the approval queue as normal
  4. Autopilot status changes to Stopped on all affected ideas

Your data is safe. No work is lost. The emergency stop only prevents new runs — it doesn't delete anything.

Resuming after a stop

Autopilot doesn't resume automatically after an emergency stop. To resume:

  1. Review the approval queue (any pending items from before the stop)
  2. Update your idea brief or step instructions if that was the issue
  3. Re-enable Autopilot manually from the idea page

This is intentional — a stop should prompt you to review what happened before starting again.

Rate limit pauses (not the same as emergency stop)

If you hit the rate limit (10 agent runs per minute), Autopilot pauses automatically and resumes after the rate limit window clears. This is different from emergency stop — it's temporary and doesn't require manual intervention. You'll see a "Rate limit — resuming in X seconds" status on the Autopilot indicator.
