Managing prospects

The prospect list is a lightweight CRM built for early-stage founders. It's intentionally simple — the goal is to track 100 people, not to build a sales ops machine.

Adding prospects

Manually

  1. Go to First 100 in the left nav
  2. Click Add prospect
  3. Fill in:
    • Name (required)
    • Where they are — platform + profile URL (e.g. Reddit, LinkedIn, Twitter)
    • Why they're a fit — one sentence connecting them to your ICP
    • How you found them — source (community, referral, event, etc.)
  4. Click Save

From the source map agent

When the First 100 Source Map agent runs, it can generate a list of prospect profile suggestions based on your ICP. These appear as Suggested prospects — review each one and add the ones that are a real fit.

Import

You can paste a list of names and URLs (one per line) to bulk-import prospects. Z2X will parse them and create draft prospect records for you to review and confirm.

Prospect statuses

Update statuses as you move through the process. The Metrics section tracks your conversion rates at each stage.

Prospect detail view

Click any prospect to open the detail view. You'll see:

  • Their contact info and platform links
  • Status history (when each status change happened)
  • Attached outreach drafts
  • Notes you've added
  • Activity log

Add notes any time — context about their situation, what they care about, or what you discussed on a call. These notes are visible to agents when they draft follow-up outreach.

Filtering and searching

Use the filter bar to view prospects by:

  • Status
  • Source channel
  • Date added
  • Stage in the funnel

The search bar searches by name or notes. This is useful once you have 50+ prospects and need to find a specific person quickly.

The conversion funnel

The Metrics page in the First 100 section shows your funnel:

  • Total prospects → Contacted → Responded → Interested → Customer

Typical benchmarks for cold outreach at this stage:

  • 20–40% open/response rate (if your outreach is personalised and targeted)
  • 10–20% will want to talk
  • 5–10% of conversations convert to paying customers

If your numbers are much lower than this, review your outreach copy and targeting. If much higher, you've found product-market fit in your outreach — scale it.
