Adding your first idea
Your ideas are the centre of everything in Z2X. Each idea gets its own Z2X Path, agents, evidence ledger, and first-100 tracker.
Add an idea
- Click Ideas in the left nav rail
- Click Add idea (top right)
- Give your idea a title — something concrete, not a vision statement:
- ✅ "AI note-taker for freelance designers"
- ❌ "Revolutionise creative work"
- Click Add to save it to your workspace
Your idea appears in the Ideas list immediately. You can add as many ideas as you like on any plan.
What happens next
After adding an idea, Z2X offers two paths:
A. Unlock the idea with AI (recommended) Uses 1 of your monthly AI unlocks to generate:
- A refined problem statement
- Target customer description
- Business model hypothesis
- Competition overview
- A "For You" relevance score based on your founder profile
B. Fill in the brief yourself Go directly to the idea and complete the brief fields manually. This is useful if you already have a clear thesis and want to start validation faster.
Your Ideas list
The Ideas screen shows all your ideas with status chips:
- Draft — brief not yet complete
- Unlocked — AI has analysed this idea
- In progress — a Z2X Path is active
- Validated — passed evidence checkpoints
Use the For You filter to see ideas ranked by fit with your founder profile. The ranking accounts for your archetype, work style, and stated goals.
Organising ideas
You can have unlimited ideas in your workspace. Use the search bar to find a specific one, or filter by status. When you're ready to commit to one, open it and click Build my Z2X Path to start the validation and launch process.
TIP
You don't need to pick just one idea before generating a plan. Many founders run 2–3 ideas through the early validation steps in parallel before deciding which to go deep on.
