Generating your plan
Generating a Z2X Path takes about 60 seconds and requires a completed idea brief.
Before you generate
Make sure your idea brief has at least:
- ✅ A specific target customer (not "SMBs" — something like "solo bookkeepers with 20–50 clients")
- ✅ A clear business model selected
- ✅ A description that explains the core problem
The more complete the brief, the better the plan. If your brief is thin, the generated steps will be generic.
Generating the plan
- Open your idea
- Click Build my Z2X Path (or Generate plan)
- Confirm — this uses 5 credits from your monthly balance
- Wait 30–60 seconds while the plan is generated
Builder / Pro plan required
Generating a full Z2X Path requires a Builder ($29/mo) or Pro ($99/mo) plan. Free plan users can see a preview of what a plan looks like.
What the generator does
Z2X reads your:
- Idea brief (all fields)
- Founder profile (archetype, experience, goals)
- Work style (hours available, risk tolerance)
And produces a sequenced plan with steps matched to your situation. A Technical-Systematizer building a B2B SaaS tool will get a different plan to a Creative-Connector building a community-led product.
After generation
Your plan appears in the Validate section of your idea. You'll see:
- All steps laid out in sequence, grouped by phase
- Each step showing its assigned agent and status (Pending, Ready, Running, Done, Blocked)
- The first step ready to run
You can edit any step before running its agent. The plan is yours — the AI-generated version is a starting point.
Regenerating
If you update your idea brief significantly, you can regenerate the plan. This will archive the old plan and create a new one. Completed steps and their artifacts are preserved — regeneration only affects pending steps.
Click the ··· menu at the top of your plan and choose Regenerate plan to start fresh.
